#11 DAVIE COOPER

MATCH WORN vs HOLLAND

PHILIPS STADION, EINDHOVEN, 29th APRIL 1986

This long-sleeved shirt was worn by club legend Davie Cooper, in what was Scotland’s final warm-up game before setting off for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.  One of the few matches during Alex Ferguson’s stewardship.

The match itself finished 0-0 in front of a crowd of 14,500.

This shirt was swapped with a Holland player after the match, and subsequently sourced from that Holland player’s collection.  Impeccable provenance.
